It stops you having to DIY from scratch without a clue what you're doing and give you a strategically designed, website that will do work FOR you.
I know starting out it can be chicken and egg having budget to invest and this gives you a more affordable website without investing thousands of pounds out of the gates.
If that sounds good - it's for you.
Your website will be within Wix Studio.
Wix Studio is an excellent platform - it is affordable, powerful and has great booking integrations at no extra cost and is very easy to manage.Tat gives Wix the edge over Squarespace (in my opinion) which has a slightly steeper learning curve and less powerful integrations, and is a higher price point.
For example; Squarespace's booking system is an extra cost and there is no weekly timetable view and it is not fully integrated into your website. Both of which are fully included in Wix at no additional cost. This is enough reason to choose Wix in my professional opinion.
You will have some ongoing costs for your website after build - here’s some ballpark figures:
Hosting with Wix: £20 per month approx. Annual plans offer a discount.
Domain: Can be anything from £10-thousands. A typical domain tends to be around £20 per year.
Google Workspace & Custom Email: Highly recommend so you can have a branded email - £70 per year.
Payment Processing: I recommend Stripe to all my clients, and it is who I use myself. Their fees are around 1.5% + 20p per transaction for UK users.
No! Your site is YOURS. Therefore, you have full access at handover.
I will have no further involvement unless you ask for me to do tasks for you after your end of package support period.
You can update, tweak, add new pages without limits or my involvement - as it should be.Your only ongoing costs are your website hosting plan, email solution and possibly an email marketing plan.
If you do want me to manage your site for you on an ongoing basis this is an option. Just let me know the scope and I can give you some costs.I've designed the Website Template with a set of professional brand assets already placed for you. You get an Accessibility tested, fully compatible colour palette, fonts, and full application to the design ready to go.
All you need to do is plug your wording and any images in.
If you have your own professional branding, then you can personalise the template.
Or, if you'd like your own professional branding before you get going then I can help you with that, too. Check out the branding packages here.I have included a selection of stock images in the template that fit the mood and look nice if you do not have your own images.
It is best to have some professional headshots at a minimum - it does make a huge difference to the quality and longevity of your site, as well as making your site easier to create.
I'd recommend a visit to Candid Studios in London for some DIY headshots. Sessions start at sub-£100 there, and the quality is excellent as a starting point.Yes you can - you can move your domain across to the new Website Template.
You may have to pay an upgrade cost to move across but any remaining credit on your plan can be used towards this.A Website Template isn't the right option for you if you want customisation/specific design or features.
